Raised in Indonesia, born into a Cuban-Mexican household, Sonia uses her cross cultural upbringing to tell her stories through intricate designs. Sonia's method of free-handing each piece is founded on the idea that each work is unique and speaks for itself. While series are derived from a story or message, the fluidity of each piece allows the viewer to insert themselves into the piece, getting lost in the details.
